Why does God need angels to help him?

its not so much as a "need" as a "when your the omnipotent, omniscent entity of the universe you can do whatever you want, and if you feel like having angels to do stuff for you, you can have angels!"

He doesn't. Angels appear to help us. Somewhere, somehow, they intervene to say "Lord, allow me to help this person." Even though we may not deserve it, or maybe we do. Could even be the soul of your grandmother; whatever. Or someone you've never even met who's gone through what you are facing. But your spirits are connected. I know. Three times in my life I have faced death (once I had a gun put to my head) and was saved by an angel. Another time I was about to get on the NYS Thruway and a voice loud and clear as if it came from the back seat of my car told me, "Turn around now and go back home." I did. I've learned to listen to the angels. Next morning the DA called me and told me not to come to work (I was a court reporter who was supposed to work Grand Jury that day). He told me not to come to work because his witnesses were busy (the sheriff's deputies, most of whom were on the scuba diving detail) looking for the bodies in the river when that bridge collapsed.

This is a question that makes me ask myself other questions. Like what if his angels are actually people just like you and I sent here to look after us, take notes, keep records.....God would be very busy if he did not have angels. There are a lot of people.
