i want to know if this guy is courting me or if we are just dating.i know there is a difference..what signs should i look for if i'm being courted? and what signs do i look for if we are dating?

dating would be defined in my opinion as going out, hanging out , enjoying each others company. Courtship however is more of trying to impress, being a gentleman, basically advertising himself, making himself feel as though I am the ideal man. I think courting comes before you guys are actually dating.

Courted: Only happens in small towns and in very old books and movies. People look at you weird when you say the word like you are way out of touch.
Dating: Acceptable term for all male female outings.
Answer: There is no difference, for most men dating does not lead to marriage, it leads to a relationship between two single people.

Dating is very casual with no pressure. It's more or less just haning out. Courtship is seeing someone exclusively with the intent that there will be a future or a long term commitment, possibly marriage.

Dating is casual, just hanging around and having a good time. Courting is more serious with the intention of getting married. How to tell the difference? I think the guy would let you know what his intensions are.

courtship is oldschool. back in the day when you went after a girl for love and you wanted to marry her. you didnt even think about sex. you just had a good old time together, eventually discovered you loved each other, then you got married.
dating is this new ****. usually guy will take you out places and pay for stuff to make him seem real nice. ok i dont know what im talking about. but i think courtship is more pure, and dating is not.
man im bored.
