My mom always gets mad when my puppy licks my lips. I love my dog to death, and I don't mind. Isn't it true that a dog's saliva is 10 times cleaner than a human's? Also, is it okay that i share my ice-cream cone or other foods with my dog ( like after i lick it she does.. etc.)? Shes a house dog, and shes not out much.
btw, shes a yorkie-shih tsu mix if that helps.

I kiss my dogs all the time and we share silverware and everything. I've always heard a dog's mouth is cleaner than a person's too. Breed doesn't amtter; mine are collie/husky mixes. Dogs are the best! Give your dog a kiss for me! :)

Test it out -
Have a cat litter box full of little snacks -
have another dog over -
find a fresh killed road animal
Cover each one with a box or cloth. Then one at a time expose each item.
When the dog comes back from each licking their lips give them a big slobbery kiss.
Oh man I cant go on. STOP STOP don't do it. I feel nauseous just thinking about the little cat poo candy and then sharing it with not me YOU.

my dog licks my lips all the time too.
but i dont think they are "kissing"
just trying to lick the food smell and taste.

but its definitely cleaner than a human's.
that's how stray dogs and cats clean their wounds.
As for the food. I'm not sure because usually i would bite off the food and feed him.

Some people are weird about that kind of stuff. Dogs mouths are cleaner then ours. I let my dogs kiss me all the time. they eat off my plate and we share ice cream. Just don't do around your mom it probably just grosses her out.

Yes it's okay. Like you said, a dog's mouth is cleaner than a human's, despite all the things they stick their noses in. I love it when my beagle kisses me. It's a way of showing affection.

ok i think its a little disgusting because they lick stuff that they shouldn't and then they lick your face and no their saliva isn't cleaner than a humans. as for eating your food with you that just is bad manors and gross.

A dog's mouth is one of the cleanest mouths there is. The human mouth is the disease infested mouth, only surpassed by the mouth of a cat.

i think it is okay if your dog kisses you if you wipe your mouth afterward. my dog likes to kiss me.
