Try to give him space. But when it comest time for the montly visit, make sure it happens and that you show him how much he means to you. If he still pushes you away, then there is nothing more you can do. It would be time to let him go and find someone else. Hopefully he will be happy to have you near.
If the mother of his dead child is still alive, he may be currently seeking comfort in her arms which may destroy your relationship and there is nothing you can do about it. I can just hope that it is not the case. You are a wonderful woman who has so much to give and you deserve better than to be discarded like that.
Good luck. I hope everything works out. *hugs*

You sound very immature and selfish!!Leave him alone completely and let him call you when he's finished grieving. He will resent you later on for behaving this way,he will appreciate your compassion if you let him determine the space he needs and let him come to you when he's o.k. Apart of himself has died and you still want his undivided attention? How disgusting!!...Grow up!

Wow...The death of his child!? That is huge. The best thing you can do is be there for him when he needs you, but understand when he doesn't. He needs time.

try not to bother him too much he will come to you when he needs you, i mean he might have mixed up emotions and want to be alone for a little bit, you just have to wait because think about it if your in his situation, so try not to be a buggaboo, goodluck
