Just living in the moment. You know, one day at time. My dreams died out a long time ago, but maybe it's time for new dreams. It's never to late to dream, right?

Because I'm weak. I've learned that over the past 40 years. Nothing like age to give you a keen sense of your own weakness.

And because I have other people to help who come first -- my wife and my kids.

And because I'm still not so very sure what my dreams and ambitions are.

OTOH, my dreams and ambitions have become less grandiose, at least the central ones, and that makes them easier to live out: to love my family, to take pleasure in daily life, not to be so irritable and uptight. Those are good enough for me to work on for now.

Why do you think I am procrastinating living out my dreams and ambitions? Are you? I have done much, seen much, and have much left to do.....the world is not very big but it is big enough to keep me busy.

I've recently become disabled. That's changed things for me in a way I haven't yet learned to entirely cope with. Any procrastination for the moment comes from learning to accept, and that's all I can do for the time being.

Money. My priorities are different now, my children's hopes and dreams come before mine. If someday I win the lottery, I'll be able to live out my dreams and pursue my ambitions. Until then (ha, until I win the lottery), I'm at peace with foregoing my own personal ambitions in favor of my children's. =)

Because I'm saving money to pay for my son's college expenses. That has to come first before I go buy any really big toys.

If you are meaning to preface that with "Christian" then I have to answer that until you have God in your life you cannot understand. He wants to "give life and life MORE abundant" Not, trick us out of things on earth.
