Thanks for the reminder. I was always impressed by his talent, which other people had talent, and his style, which other people had style, but what Sammy Davis Jr. had was the ability to draw the audience in. Not all had that.
I lived in Glendale when he died. I remember the many cars that came by on the way to the funeral. I had never seen so many.

Sammy Davis was cool and a talented man.If this reminds you of a friend from the past, then you must have good memories.It brought back different types of memories for me, but nevertheless they were just as important to me as your's were to you. Thnx for sharing an oldie but goodie.......

You'll love this story. We were watching SD in a detective movie.Sammie turns around and says to the Cop "I cant do that I'm Black" my daughter (grammar school age) turns to me in shock and says"Oh Mommy, I thought he was a singer"If we all could have such innocent eyes
