First I am amazed that our government shared its detailed war plans (targeting profiles, duration of combat, asset utilization) with a reporter from the UK. He must be a trusted buddy of the USA. Oh, wait, he printed this...never mind.

Second, it is apparent that you have no military experience. If you did you would be aware that the US military continuously creates new contingency plans and updates existing ones. The world and America's enemy's are constantly changing. You prefer another Pearl Harbor?

Third, you can't stop a war that hasn't started now can you? Perhaps your question would have been better phrased...how do you prevent...... Just a suggestion.

Finally, I don't anticipate that we will dispatch our assets on 2 fronts for 5 days attacking 400 targets. But if it takes military intervention to stop Iran's nuclear weapons program (and no, I am not yet 100% convinced it is up and running) let's make sure we obliterate it the first time out.

In the event the US decides it is in the best interest of the US and the non-muslim international community to bomb Iran's nuclear facilities, it is because a collective group of people from both sides of the aisle, have decided , this is what must be done.

This is not a decision that will be made by one man. It is a decision thay will be made by many people. It will not be a political decision, however it will be made by politicians and military minds, as well!

In the event this does happen, Iran will be so stunned, that it will take quite some time before they are able to respond, or even react to the devastation they will have wished upon themselves.

A Muslim nation with definite ties to Islamic radicals CANNOT have nuclear weapons - plain and simple.

"How do you stop it?"

How did Europe stop the Third Reich?
Appeasement, negotiations, concessions and diplomacy - and what happened?
The Nazis continued their march across Europe in their quest for world domination.

The Islamic terrorists have made their demands crystal clear - you convert to Islam or you die. A one world government under Islamic Law.
Obviously, we cannot take these threats lightly.

We must make it perfectly clear to Iran that their program of developing nuclear weapons is totally out of the question. It would be a far more dangerous policy to ignore this threat than to confront it now.

A limited war now is far better than a nuclear holocaust later.

As much as I despise my country's foreign policy, I must say that I am greatful that this is all that is planned. It is unsettling to think of Nuclear Weapons in the hands of an Islamist Theocracy, to say the least. A full-scale war with as tough a country as Iran is pretty creepy too. So a semi-surgical attack on their weapons plants is probably good news.

Do you really believe a left wing British newspaper is going to print the truth about US war plans?

We should at least garner more support internationally, while making damn sure that China and Russia dont buddy up with the Iranians, before any plan to attack them.
I think its time to reel in our forces...shore up our homeland, hunker down, and calm all this down. If we dont, WW3 could come to pass
and doom of mankind assured.
