depends on what its from. it might require a trip to the doctor, but over the counter theres creams and lotions. Try Eucerin cream. come in a huge tub and helps dry/cracked skin.

First off, I would go see a dermatologist if the skin is really bad infected, or at least your family physician for the time being. Secondly, you should use a good moisturizing lotion about 2-3 times a day on the places experiencing the cracking and infection. If there's any redness or pus I would definitely get to a doctor soon. Hmm, it's really hard to know exactly what info to give since I don't know the areas of the body infected. Good Luck girl!

For feet-
take a fresh pair of socks, that you can do away with. they have to be clean.
take a big jar of vaseline, and coat your feet like you are icing a cake
carefully..... place the sock over them, trying not to get any vaseline on the outside, and sleep with them on.
get all excess vaseline off the next day, and let your feet completely dry.
then soak them in water for about 20 minutes
take a kitchen knife or whatever, and scrape the excess dry skin off, dont go crazy on this.
completely clean off all the dry skin, and repeat the vaseline procedure 2 or 3 more times
you will have baby skin soft feet in no time, GUARANTEED

Keep the damaged tissue moist. Use Neosporin or straight petroleum jelly (almost 80% of Neosporin is petroleum jelly) and keep covered. The moisture will help the skin cells regenerate and also keep the scab formed, which helps prevent bacteria from entering the wound.

Well it depends on what kind of skin infection you have, but i suggest any kind medicine the doctor gives you if it is severe. Other than that i suggest eucrine(that may be spelled wrong but i know it is this think white cremey lotion the doctors love to give me) lotion, coco butter, or Vaseline. I provides flexibility and moisture for your skin. In my case i tend to use psoriasis creme.

tea tree oil
its a natural antibiotic, and is good for your skin unlike neosporin which has petroleum in it - which really only aggravates the underlying skin condition.
you can find tea tree oil at a health food store, or on the vitamin aisle at target

There are a great deal of products on the market, talk to your pharmacist for advice on which one would be best for you. If your are into natural help, then talk to someone at the health food store.

Where is the crack?
You MUST moisturize. Use petroleum jelly, rub it in, then cover the area before you go to sleep.
