In Christianity I have noticed that God has been divided into 3 parts and it seems that powers of Satan are just that, powers...as if the Devil could actually create illusions or circumstances that truly manipulate my human reality...is this right?

Well, in the church I went to as a teen, he was credited with any halfway interesting CD or magazine, as well as many books, articles of clothing, major religions, and sex acts. They credited Satan with much more creativity than God, in fact.

Actually, God is not in three parts He is all one God.
We perceive Him as "Father", "Son (Jesus)" and "Holy Spirit" but He is one God.

God created and is the creator.
Man "creates" using what God has already created.
Satan deceives. He creates lies. He has power - lots of it - but it is limited and controlled by God. What he does he can only do because he is allowed to do it by God.
God doesn't cause evil but He does allow it (for now). Know that the day is coming when evil will be no more and all will bow to God - some willingly, some unwillingly.

Satan cannot do anything to you that God doesn't know about and allow. God says "this far and no farther".
Therefore the answer to you about the power of Satan in your life is this: He has no power over God or God's people. When you become a Christian, the Holy Spirit (God) takes up residence in you and Satan cannot abide where God is. That simple and that complex.
People a lot smarter than me write books all their lives on questions just like this one!

Any help?

Ok first God is not "divided" in 3 parts. The same way you can be a daughter, a wife and a secretary. You are still you. Any way when you are a Christian, Satan works the very hardest on YOU> the evil ones or those who don't care, he already has them. He wants YOU. His entire reason for being is to take as many with him as he can, and to get you away from God. My friend I have experienced Satanic forces to the point where I thought I was going crazy. Once I was in a desperate situation and needed to read my bible. But I coulnt find it. I looked for it everywhere. My desk was clean and white. But I could NOT see it. When my husband came into the room, I asked him if he knew where it was... He looked at me like I was nuts... It was RIGHT there on my desk. Satan did NOT want to have me read it, and hid it from my eyes. Temptation, discord, Satan puts all of these things in front of you. Beware and do not think its a myth. God says "we wrestle not againest flesh and blood, but against angels and principalities and the darkness of this world.

Hello Mister Wizard,
You don't really believe that what you wrote do you?
You say Christianity and you should have typed, Churchianity.
There is only one God you know that. Don't go believing what some religion says, go to you good ole Bible and read the Word of God for yourself.
Remember when Jesus Christ was in the desert and being tempted by Satan. Satan was here defacto then. After the temptation, Jesus rebuked him and said, "Get thee behind me Satan".

That's the last time he was here. Now he is here in spirit only. He is being guarded by the head archangel Michael.

Can Satan create anything? No, and never had the ability. Need additional info, e-mail me.><>

The Trinity (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit) is hard for us mere mortals to comprehend. He's been that way all along, as He is without beginning or end (another hard concept for human minds to grasp.) It's nothing new to Him. Pray that God will teach you what He wants you to know about it. When you do, don't just wait for Him to pop the knowledge into your head. Of course He COULD, but it wouldn't do you or anyone else any good at all. He wants you to learn it. Ask Him for direction, and seek out good teaching materials on the Trinity. If you go to a Bible-teaching church, ask the pastor to recommend some good books on the subject.

The devil can't create anything. Don't give him too much credit. He's a created being who used to be an angel of very high rank; he became proud and was cast out of Heaven. (This is found in the book of Job in the Bible, the book before Psalms. Psalms is the one you open to when you open your Bible to the very center. Go to Psalms and turn left, there you'll find Job.) He is equal in 'power' to the other high-ranking angels, not to God and Jesus, as society would have you think. It looks like the devil himself is behing that myth, doesn't it? He's elevating himself to an equality with God that is not truth.

The devil can certainly tempt you, and will do his best to thwart God's plan in your life. The temptation only has power over you when you give in to it. The devil can deceive and trick you, he lies constantly and promises things he can't deliver -- and wouldn't even if he could. You can rebuke him in Jesus' name, you can cast him out or away in Jesus' name, you can ignore him, you can laugh at him. He really hates that, you know, being laughed at -- he's a proud being, after all, he's going to hate that.

You need to look through the lies and find the truth. The truth is not in the devil. He may tell you a bit of truth but it will be bound up in lies. He does not have your best interest at heart, he has his own best interest at the core of his heart. God does have your very best interest at heart, hard as that may be for us humans to grasp. It doesn't mean He'll give you everything you want or make your life easy, not at all. It does mean He knows what's best, even when you don't like it.

If there is a DEVIL it can only do what you let it do to you.
GOD is thought of as a trinity. but SATAN is only a BEING that was created by the CREATOR as the tempter of the human soul to break the laws of GOD and Jesus' foe .To tempt him from completing his task on earth and obtaing the keys to the GATES ofHELL so that on the day of Judgement they can be opened and th souls there can be judged.
The DEVIL is a generic name that people have wongly been using in place of SATAN. yes the name is in the latter part of the bible but as one of the rulers of one of the levels of HELL.

Yes, satan has the power to destroy your life. Temptations is a more proper word than fear. But if you have the Lord on your side, satan is powerless. God created him, and gave him the power that he possesses. If you give your life and soul to God, through His Son Jesus Christ, And believe Jesus is the Son of God, And He died on the cross for your sins, And ask sincerely for forgiveness of your sins, You are saved. satan has no power over you. Unless you give it to him.

I really don't know if he creates or merely takes advantage of things... From my catholic upbringing, I kinda feel creating is a privilege of God, thus the devil just modifies of perverts Creation for his advantage over men.

Then again, men are the ones twisting things in nature and himself, causing his own troubles, the thing is: is that the Devil itself, the Devil at work, or merely men screwing up?

doubt, seflishness....In christinity if you believe in jc you need to believe in the devil as they coexist in the same structure of christianity. If the Lord has the power to heal and save through faith then the devil himself has powers to destroy through doubt

yes and if we are not saved by Christ the devil could do a lot more things, including physical things such as possession. but if you are saved, you don't have to worry about that, just the mental conflict the devil tries to put in your mind to turn you away from God.
