Interesting that I got so many "thumbs down" for this question. I just got tired of being called a "God-Hater" for being atheistic, and I thought it would be easier to have everyon argue the point for me. Thanks, gang!

I hate the Christian God just as much as Christians hate Zeus and the hundreds of other gods that Christians think are myths, which is to say, not at all.

What I really hate is the use of logical fallacies to try to win an argument.

Atheists are people who do not believe in a god. Generally they do not think much about God since normal people do not spend much time thinking about things that don't exist. God-haters are atheists (usually) that can't seem to get over the fact that not everyone in the country agrees with them. God-haters spend more time thinking about God than many religious people do.

An atheist simply doesn't believe that god exists... In order to hate god, you must first accept that he exists and then have a reason to hate him.

Since atheist's don't fulfill the first requirement there is no way they could be god haters.

Some atheists, myself included, dislike the notion of god... the idea that people continue to subject themselves to such a silly notion as the existence of an invisible man in the sky that watches over us all our lives and then decides to reward or punish us after we die. It's the idea that is at issue here, not the deity.

Atheists don't believe in a God and take responsibility for themselves. God haters blame God instead of themselves. The question of Atheists' integrity is really getting old.

Atheist....as in a-theist...no theism, a person that simply does not believe.

I don't believe an atheist would be an out-and-out God hater since by definition an atheist does not believe God exists. How can you hate something you don't even believe is there?

With that said though....I do believe the day will come that atheists will realize they're wrong. May God help them all.

An atheist simply doesn't believe in God. They don't hate God any more than most adults hate Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy.

In order to hate somebody or something, I think a person has to believe and to have had strong feelings.

An Atheist cannot hate something that doesn't exist. A God-Hater would probably be someone who worships Satan. He would believe in God, but hate him.

A God hater just hates God. An atheist doesn't believe in God at all.

An atheist does not believe in God. Someone who hates God, is a believer who feels that God has let them down. The latter, because of a belief in God, is not an atheist.

You can't hate something you don't believe in, so Atheists can't be god-haters. Someone that hates god needs to have at least some belief in god.
