Bernice... to be exact, your question should have been 'Why did British "freaks" ... etc?' because those individuals - whom the British authorities arrested _before_ they had a chance of blowing up your aeroplane - were not English.

Don't feel so self important! They neither knew nor cared about you or anyone else. And there was no specific flight targeted anyway; the plot was foiled before it got to that point.
