'Spoiled' means 'ruined' or 'messed up'. So if she has all this stuff plus a nasty attitude she is spoiled. If her parents shower her with this stuff because they are deleriously happy that she is a kind, generous, hard working girl, then she is not

Not really a spoiled child isn't spoiled just because of what she has, it's more (I think) of why she has it. Did her parents give her the computer because they didn't want to listen to her complain about it, did they buy her the cell phone because she screamed in a fit at best buy. My daughter is spoiled, which is my fault, but not because she has a computer or cell phone, she is spoiled because I failed to give her responsiblities, now after 13 years of giving into my child's every whim because it was easier than listening to her ***** I am struggling very hard to make up for my mistakes and to give her the skills she will need to survive as a grown up. Some kids can have every material object in the world and still not the love of a parent, so no, if that is the only reason you think she is spoiled, don't/

Spoiled? Maybe. But if she has good grades, works hard in school, helps around the house, and is respectful to her parents and others, then maybe she should just be considered blessed. To me spoiled means that you have everything and don't even appreciate it! However, I'm with you - I would love to be punished and sent to her room, too!

the question is does she have responsibilities that help contribute to the cost of these luxuries..my 9 and 12 year olds have computers but they had to save 1/2 the money for the purchase then they have daily chores each with a monetary value to help pay for their phones and Internet bills kids today have alot technically but if they are responsible and keep up there end of the bargain to earn them then they are spoiled responsibly LOL when my kids are lazy or need discipline they lose their phone and computers

Most definitely, why would any parent give a 9 year old all these things? Thats a kid! Wow, I would love to be punished too! And these parents are only asking for trouble!

if he has the maturity to accept the responsibilities that go with the electronics then he is not spoiled. if it is just to keep him out of the way then he is not someone anyone should be jealous of

I don't know if she is spoiled or not. I'm not her parents. Since obviously YOU'RE not either you really are not in a position to judge her.
