talk to the person you are dating and get their feelings on it. If they will be hurt.... then, dont take this other guy to the dance as a "friend". But, if your bf dont mind... ask the other guy to the dance but make sure he knows its strictly as friends

If it were me, I would not go because I would not want people thinking I am now in a relationship with my boyfriend's replacement . I would spend time with my boyfriend because we're a couple and I would not find that kind of dance fun without him. Would you care if you couldn't go for whatever reason and he went with someone else even on a friendly level? I think you should ask him how he feels, he might not mind you going with a friend, and even if he does mind a little--he may not want you to miss out on a school memory.

If you really want to go to the dance, go, just don't bring a date. The last thing you want to do is add emotional pain to the physical pain of surgery.

Of course, if you truly want to be kind, instead of the dance you should show up at the hospital. Spending time with the person you really want to be with is more fun than going to a dance that you aren't going to enjoy anyway because the person you love isn't going to be there.

If he is a friend then it would be OK but if he is a boyfriend or husband then I would say that you should set yourself asside and be with him. Some things are more important. You can go to other dances but if something goes wrong in surgery you will never forgive yourself. Think about what you would want him to do if you had surgery.

It's your choice, but be honest and let both your true love and the person you will be going to the dance with understand that you don't intend to become involved with anyone other than the guy in the hospital. Avoid confusion and have a good time, but only if your conscience is clear.

If you really loved this person you wouldn't be blowing them off the day after surgery to go to a dance.

Ask your "heart" if it is ok you go without him. Then make sure you help him feel apart it. Go by and see him if you can before you go to the dance.

No it would not be wrong to go as just friends with someone else but only if your Love knows about it & says its ok.

no it's not wrong to go with someone else. just take some pictures and show your friend the pictures and let them know you would have rather been with them. but since they couldn't go you wanted to share the time you had with them.
