I'm leading for about two weeks with just an acoustic, before i bring in the rest of the new worship band. What are some songs that are well known and favorites in your youth group?

David Crowder has alot of good music.
"Passion" worship music with Chris Tomlin and David Crowder - there are several good cds with several good songs on them. The silver cd is my favorite one by Passion.

Songs that are good:
I could sing of your love forever
Hungry (falling on my knees)
You Are My King - New Song
In Christ Alone
He is Exalted - Twila Paris

What ever you do don't sacrifice the message of the gospel on the alter of 'cool' for the teens. Stick with the truth. God Bless you!

If you are looking for songs to learn I suggest you take a look at some CD music scores. I don't know if youv'e hard of Kutless but they put out a worship album not too long ago called Strong Tower. it has lots of popular worship songs on it like We Fall Down, Draw Me Close, and Word of God Speak. I got it because I wanted to lean how to play some of the songs on my piano and found that the music wasn't too hard to understand and there wasn't all the extra stuff for electric guitar that makes it so there's about one line of music on each page, but there was still the melody AND harmony lines. Plus it listed just the chords. Hope this helps!!
