I have heated up oil and sugar in my "hand turn" stove-top popcorn maker. The sugar solution coats the popcorn as it pops. The sugar gets "crispy" as the popcorn cools. Very yummy. (I don't have exact measurements but I would eye ball about 3-4 tbsp canola oil and 1/2 cup sugar).

Sugar Corn or "Kettle Corn"
1/2 cup JOLLY TIME Pop Corn
3 tbs. White Sugar
Oil for popping.

Heat oil in medium sized pan until hot. Add pop corn and sprinkle all of the sugar over it.
Cover and shake CONTINUOUSLY until popped. Absolutely wonderful!

(obviously I found this on the Jolly Time web site... I do now know if the brand of pop corn makes a difference...) Enjoy!
