well mine was during a severe car accident... I was floating above the scene watching everything happen to me at the car accident site...I distinctly remember saying.."Why is that woman putting a kotex on my face"...then an overwjelming feeling of someone telling me I could not come over yet....The next thing I woke up in a hospital room. My car accident was all over the news, I was very confused....i tried to get out of bed and at the same time a nurse came into the room and told me I had been in a serious car accident...I knew something was wrong when I was only looking out one eye...My left eye and side of my face was seriously injured, the nurse told me that the only thing that saved me from bleeding to death was a woman at the accident scene holding a kotex over my wound with pressure...very eerie I felt at that moment, but then I knew there is a set destination and we can only cross when we have accomplished the task we were assigned.

I basically "died" 2 days after surgery in the hospital. I was cold, blue, no heartbeat no breathing - doctors thought I was dead - but they managed to recussitate me :)

Actually - I don't remember much of anything - I wish I could have had a cool "near death" experience but I didn't. When I finally "woke up" I was totally disoriented and confused - didn't know where I was or what was happening.

when i was about 16 i tried crossing a lake in a boat i had made. about half way acroos the boat started filling with water. yes, your whole life does pass before your eyes. then for some odd reason i thought, what the heck i can swim, so i bailed out the boat and kept on going. what i didn't think of was the ice was just out and there would be no swimming in 30 degree water, just drowning. i don't remember thinking much about it after. I've never talked much about it until today..............kidding. i"m not about to have nightmares about it .

I thought of my wife and kids, and new I had to stay alive for them. I really think that is what save my life. It really hasn't changed me. I try not to think about that day, and have put it into the past!!! I now take it one day at a time!!!
