We were together for 5 months. He broke up with me because he said he didn't feel the same about me after I moved to a city 2 hours away. I told him I still felt the same, and if he changed his mind to let me know. I figured I'd never hear from him again. Now, a week later he calls.

He hasn't let go of you yet, even though he says he has. I think he broke up with you only to save himself some gas money. He just didn't want to say that to your face.
So, I think that he's not the right one for you. However since I don't know everything I'm not going to judge the situation other than that.

the exact same thing happened to me and come to find out he hadnt changed but just wanted to see where i stood with him. if i really wanted it over and also he hadnt found anyone yet so he came back for some you know what. im glad i didnt let him use me and its over as far as im concerned. and oh yeah by the way. the only way a guy can miss you is if hes not with you. and who made that choice if i may ask. so he just want to play with you so just cut off contact with him. there are a lot of guys out there like that and they know who they are.

Maybe he's trying to see how you feel. He might want to date you again, but don't let him fool you. Analyze whether the relationship will work. Make your decision about that before talking to him again. But don't get your hopes up, he might just be lonely.
