America does not like Muslims these days. **Phew** taking heat off of black people. Profile these muslims for a sec. We have an alliance with with France and we tend to care about who has our best intentions. We only pretend we care about other countries but really it's only when we get some thing out of it.

No, not less evil. And just as soon as I find those guys from the French Revolution, I'll let them know about it. Or those guys in the KKK from the 50's and 60's I'll give em "what for".
You just don't hear of the French doing this anymore. And with the change in our laws in the States pretty much ended the lynching... on the scale they were being done. We criticize people in our time who are doing things which we consider wrong... in hopes of bringing about a change to end the evil. Otherwise, we remain silent and the people doing these things will think it's the Right thing to do and continue.

I see a difference between a government's use of a particular death penalty, and a terrorist making an "example" out of a Christian aid worker!
The terrorist kills because it suits his own agenda and will gain him 15 seconds of fame on CNN. Their motive is greed and hate! The lynching of blacks in America was just as evil, for it was also a terrorist act. Both killed for selfish reasons, and hid their faces from the world to avoid justice.
The death penalty is used in some places as the ultimate punishment for particular crimes. If a particular governing body misuses this tool for selfish purposes (suppressing dissidents instead of removing violent criminals, for example), then that governing body is little more than a terrorist group with matching uniforms.
