What Do You Think The "Catcher In The Rye" Means?

I think it means that Holden wants to catch kids as they stray from the path of a normal childhood. He wants them to stay innocent and not become "phony" like the rest of the world. Any other opinions?

Agreed but it is not about "phony". It is about:

"If God wanted you to think he would have given you a brain."
Think about that one. :)
