nicotine, tar, formaldehyde(in low quantities used as a preservative), pesticides (used on the tobacco crops) and thousands of other chemicals.
I don't know if it is possible to make a safe cigarette. Whey you think about it, you are inhaling smoke into your lungs. No matter what you smoke, it can't be good for you.
I believe these lawsuits are frivolous. These people can't say that they did not know smoking was bad for their health. "Lite" cigarettes have warnings on them too. Now, 30 years ago, maybe some people didn't know smoking is bad for them. But unless you have lived under a rock for the last 30 years, you know smoking is hazardous to your health. Take some personal responsibility for goodness sake. (not you asker, just venting)

Hi. There are hundreds of combustion compounds in cigarette smoke. How anyone could believe that you could take the most complicated chemical system on the planet, a human body, and add these other chemicals and NOT some something go wrong? I don't get it.

i learned from my dietician, that cigarettes alone do not cause cancer, but like in any other health situation it enhances the disease or illness. the nicotene acts as a catalyst, making the disease more intense. in other words smoking cigarettes is like adding gasoline to a fire. hope this helps.

The carbon monoxide in your blood lowers your resistance to everything like cancer cells.
The nicotine makes you feel good and suppresses apetite, but is addictive.
The tar is just a nusiance, smell lingers, stains teeth, makes breath smell bad, it is in your lungs and comes out with your breath. it stains the walls ond windows.
