If your God(s) is/are so nice then why is there disabled people? If they're so nice why would they do that to someone? Why is there starving people all over the world? Why is there wars and disease? And why in the religious books does it say things like gays and adulterers will be put to death? And if you don't believe in that certain religion you will go to hell or whatever?

I'm not trying to have a go at you religious folk. I respect your beliefs and I'm just interested in your opinions.

Maybe i'll be the first to answer! ...k probably not heh.

Anywwwwwway i'm a christain thingy soo lets begin:
Answers in that fun FAQ style :)

Q.If your God(s) is/are so nice then why is there disabled people?
Well I like the is, because I only believe in one.. though he has the boring name of just God instead of something like islajdfkj or monkeyman :(. Anyway, lets look at the great big book of my memory to answer this...
God is pretty nice.. well most of the time, if you ever get around to reading the old testament you'll see he was quite the unkind bastard. He changed his views later though at least (lucky for us). Now, you look around you and you see disabled people, and such. Ever studied the human body? I bet you have. Now, birth defects (deefects..efdffef i can't spell it O.o) seem to happen a lot. I don't believe God has anything to do with this, I believe its more of a human thingy. I'm sure God COULD stop this, but it sort of invades the whole 'free will' thing in a way. If he can't mess with our free speech, then why mess with the problems our bodies face? If he did i'd be thin and sexy(hopefulkly). Summary: The body has some mistakes its gotten overtime, God doesn't interfere with this, just like he doesn't interfere with anything else, he lets Humans live it alone, hoping they make good choices etc etc. I hope this answered the first and second question... heh forgot two were similiar.
Okie Dokie moving on!
Question #3
Q:Why is there starving people all over the world?
A: Well, if we were all a perfect communism or something, there wouldn't be. But of course, thats not gonna happen (darn you free will!!). Humans are not always going to make right choices, something is going to go wrong yada yada. I'm not trying to say communism is evil or democracy is perfect, but both could work. Yea.. I got off topic, but this does relate believe it or not. Sadly, the world revolves around wealth.. pretty sure god didn't plan on this but hey these things happen when we think for ourselves. Sooo lets just get to the point:
Starving people are there for many reasons:
They don't receive enough aid, their government has caused starvation crises, they don't want aid because of things such as 'pride', no one is willing to help, and... well I can't name all the reasons, there are just too many. Of course, everything relates to freewill in the long run... i'm still glad we get it though heh.
Well, maybe I should stay more on track.. the war question part of #4 doesn't really need an answer. It all relates to free will, greed, etc etc. Also to how you are raised blah blah stuff.
Okies now:
Q Why is there disease?
A: Disease, is just a part of life. God probably made bacteria for some weird reason, a good part is it helps stop overpopulation (I know that sounded wrong, but people dying does help.. and no I don't mean you going out with your sub-machine gun and playing paintball for kills). Now why he made Disease and viruses and all that icky stuff... no idea. He could have made it for any random reason. I'm not gonna start pulling ideas out of a random hat or anything, just plain out saying ' ihave no idea' I think they may have come along with some different species evolving though personally (yes I believe in types of evolution, and God).
#5..or 6..or maybe 4.. I can't remember
Q:And why in the religious books does it say things like gays and adulterers will be put to death?
A: Well... sex was made for enjoyment.. and for this other strange reason.. reproduction. I know, it sounds insane, but people are supposed to make more people!! The bible does say gays and adulterers(my best understanding, people that have sex without being married or planning on marriage type thing) will go to hell/put to death.. though mostly gays the adulterers can repent.. and i'm assuming that Homosexuals can also. If you're willing to change your ways, why wouldn't God accept you? Anyway to simply answer without all that gibberish above: God does this, because he wants Humanity to spread, or now in our case because its already everywhere, its how things were meant to be. Not sure if it hurts homosexuals to have erm.. sex through the rear? heh... but I hear it does. Straight sex hurts too obviously, but theres a point to it (not trying to offend you if you are homosexual, i'm cool with that, just saying that hetrosexual intercourse does at least attempt reproduction). Soo, pretty much god is just punishes those that Use it and abuse it in a way.. heh.

And your last question thing, which is pretty hard to answer!
Q:And if you don't believe in that certain religion you will go to hell or whatever?
A: Yes.. the one bad thing about every religion, including christianity have that little snag.. belive in us or die!!!. Yea, its harsh I know, but it sort of makes sense in a way. People aren't really going to listen if you just say 'don't believe in our religion, and you'll get the same benefits!' thats like saying 'Don't pay for health care like i do, and you'll get the same financial help!' its just a way that the followers of that religion are sort of payed off for their hard work.

Hope I answered all your questions and stuff, have a nic day ^_^

Just because someone is physically or mentally disabled it doesn't mean that their soul isn't complete and whole.

This life is what we call 'dunia'.. it's temporary. It's meant to be a test from God. In simple terms, if you pass this test, you'll get rewarded for it in the afterlife.

Why are ppl starving around the world? Why are there diseases & wars? This is something we have caused. Ask politicians why, not God. Sure, God could prevent all these horrible things but people need to know that there are consequences to their actions.

If you think about it, God is fair because nobody's life is perfect. The grass may seem greener on the the side.. but if you look closely it really isn't. Plus, people have different definitions for happiness & success.

Disabilities are a trial. Trials are a difficulty, but if the person manages them they are rewarded in the afterlife. The same can be said for some cases of poverty, but others are a result of people exercising free will. War is a result of greed, most often. Disease is either a trial or a result of free will. Evil exists.

I don't have an answer for why the religious texts say adulterers and homesexuals should be put to death, but I am guessing it is to keep order in society. In my religion there must be 4 just and pious eyewitnesses to the actual sexual act before the death penalty can be applied - and that's darn near impossible to have cause most of the peeping toms arent' just or pious.

My religion (Islam) does not say believe or go to hell. It says that all will be judged fairly, according to their own knowledge and understanding.

They all teach us something. We can learn from the disabled, and the disabled can learn things that we would never realize if there were no problems. If everybody was perfect, imagine what our lives would be like. We'd all be a bunch of air-headed idiots with no compassion, no emotion, no nothing. Wars are a human invention. Disease? Why not? There are starving people because the people with the food don't feed the starving. There's plenty of food in the world to feed everybody, but people are greedy and gluttonous. If you don't believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and don't accept him into your heart, then you will go to hell. No, I'm not trying to force my religion. You asked a question, and I told you what I believe. .

Hadith; "If God loves a servant, he sends tribulation upon him" They are simply being tested; and are also an example of why we should be appreciative of what we have (sight, hearing etc.) Eventually God's mercy evens out whether you see it or not; for example, in Islam, all mentally disabled persons go to Heaven where all "disabilities" will be removed (because they don't have a complete sense of wrong and right so they are not accountable for their sins) Belief in God and an afterlife+striving to do good qualifies ANY person for heaven in Islam.

Verily, with every difficulty there is relief. Qur'an 94:5

But those who believe and work deeds of righteousness - to them will We give a Home in Heaven, lofty mansions beneath which flow rivers, to dwell therein for aye; an excellent reward for those who do good!-

Those who persevere in patience, and put their trust, in their Lord and Cherisher.

peace!...that was long lol....

The answer to your question is sin. Sin causes these things, and it's not Gods fault that people reject him. People just don't understand that whenever we sin there must be a consequence.Think about it, if the speed limit is 60, and you are driving 75, you are breaking the law, therefore there must be a penalty.Get it?

I have to honestly say that I have the same questions. I wish I knew the answers.

My faith in God is based on those things that I do know and have experienced, not the things I don't know. I've come to have faith and trust in God in spite of those questions, but I can't honestly say that it's always easy.

Those are good questions. I feel that I'd rather stay with 'I don't know yet' than come up with an answer just to have one.

here is a good and short answer for you:
http://www.askmoses.com/article.html?h=157&o=178568

Mrs. Shaffer: Welcome......how can I help you?:)
Abigail: What is the hashkafic [Jewish thought] perspective on special children?

Mrs. Shaffer: what do you mean?

Mrs. Shaffer: I'm not sure what your question is....

Abigail: what is their role in society? why does God create people who have such a low level of understanding that they are unable to perform so many Mitzvot?

Mrs. Shaffer: no single person in the entire world can judge what the reason is for someone's being created

Mrs. Shaffer: many great Jewish rabbis of the past, and present, have said that these children, whose abilities seem so limited, are people whose souls are of the highest level, and therefore do not require the same performance of mitzvot as most other people
Mrs. Shaffer: in fact, one great rabbi (I don't remember exactly who, and don't want to misrepresent him) used to stand up when a person who was mentally or emotionally disabled would walk into the room!

Mrs. Shaffer: he'd stand up out of respect for that soul!

Mrs. Shaffer: so...the worth of a human being, and the purpose for his/her being created, is not something anyone of us can determine....

Mrs. Shaffer: our obligation is to give these children all that they need, including the respect and dignity that is the entitlement of every human being

Abigail: thank you for your response

(my little brother matthew is disabled... and he is way cool)

EDIT

"The answer to your question is sin. Sin causes these things, and it's not Gods fault that people reject him. "

whaaaat? the baby rejected G-d in the womb, so G-d gave him down's syndrome? okay, thats real ethical...

Aw, honey, you're blaming God for this not being a perfect world. Mankind is mean and selfish. The world is the result of centuries of sin and its consequences, not God being unkind. When He takes it back, it will be a better place.
