I'll ask this question as if I do believe in God. I've always been told by Chrisitans that God has a plan for everbody. I've been told God has planned every birth and every death in his great plan. Is this true? I'll give a follow up a question later after I see some answers here.

yes, God has a plan for each of us
no - we don't always know what exactly the plan is, but for sure we have free will - a true believer will try their very best to allow the Lord to guide their lives.

there is a difference between free will in the flesh and free will for God
The Lord will allow us to walk in our own will - if we choose to walk apart from Him, He must withdraw from us and leave us to our own choices.... it's called tough love.
when we are truly following the Lord, our will and His become very aligned, and we FREELy follow and obey Him.
Most secular humanists either refuse to understand this concept or truly do not "get it".
yes, there is true freedom in Christ....because Christians believe Him and trust Him knowing that they will be taken care of in all things.....
even in death - because physical death becomes life again in eternal fellowship with Him

Yes, you were created for a purpose. If you accept the "plan" god has for you, the you will be in His will. If you do not accept his plan, then I guess you will never know how things would have turned out. Sometimes people choose their own plans, and then things happen that god never intended for them to experience.

This is what I have learned:
You get around 120 Years to Live on this Earth if you want to.
GOD dosen't plan your Death.
You do that yourself by how you Live on this Earth (you reap what you sow).
GOD can show extra Mercy when you blow-it and would of died.
GOD has the Best Plan for us on this Messed-Up Earth if we will Listen and Follow what HE tells us. HE had a Better Plan for each of us befor the Earth got Messed-Up.
If no more Sperms ever met Eggs on this Earth, GOD would not be Required (by Spiritual Law) to send any more Perfect Human Beings to the Earth to be born. And they would get Messed-Up when they entered the Earth to be born too.

Yes. God absolutely has a plan for your life.

If you were the only person on earth--Christ still would have died for YOU.

He knew who you were before you were formed.

He always has a plan.:) It's up to you whether or not you follow it.

God knows what is going to happen; however he does not 'predestine' anyone to do anything. Each person has the choice to do many different things. Such as, will I help the person on the highway change a flat tire today? It is up to me to decide.

Heh, I'm not a Christian, but if God does have a plan, then why should he have laws and commandments, and why did we need Jesus to die for us if God planned it all out beforehand?
