technically...not a problem. But you have the whol morality thing to deal with. If you've alwyas known each other as cousins it could be weird. But wait let me trail this again...
your mom's cousin
then that cousin has another cousin
that cousin adopted a teenager...
you may actually be okay here...third or fourth cousins are not considered incest. And since she is adopted...I think you are fine. As long as you have both not treated each other as family....coz then it'll be awkward. that's all

First of all, its adoption. No blood relation. Second of all, your *adopted* second cousin's cousin once removed is such a stretch of a bloodline, that you can find probably at least 15% of marriages with some blood tie along the same lines.
