I do not cower or hide from Halloween, and neither do my children. We participate by going trick or treating. Do we participate in the evil that happens on that day, the ones taking place in the shadows and in secret? No. But no where in the Bible does it say we should give a day to Satan or hide and cower from him. "He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world."
Children do not know anything about the evils of the ancient Halloween, nor do they know of what may happen in secret on that day. All they know is dressing up in costumes, having fun, and getting candy. I grew up celebrating it and it never warped me, and I am a strong believer in Christ. My father is a pastor, my husband's father was a pastor, and my husband is in the ministry.
And if I actually came upon a demon on the street on Halloween, would I run and scream in terror? NO! I'd send him back to the pit he belongs in. No way am I giving a day to Satan for him to rampage at will.
And if I remember right, Jesus went out and hung out with the sinners and pagans of the world. He did not keep away from them. Rather he joined them at their parties! Did he participate in the sin? No. But he was there to show them that there is more to this life through Him.

You bet I celebrate it. I dress up and go out with my friends. The name of Halloween dervied from the term All Hallows Eve, the night before All Saints' Day. Then on Nov. 2 we have All Souls' Day.

i do, what's wrong with it? It has absolutely nothing to do with being anti-christian. Although it originated as a pagan holiday, it was appropriated by Christian missionaries and given a Christian interpretation.
So I celebrate the way most Americans celebrate it, as a kid dressing up and going door to door collecting candy, and as an adult dressing up and getting drunk at a party.

Halloween, The Celtic New Year called Samhain
(SOW-en) has nothing I repeat NOTHING to do with the devil. It is the time when the veil between the living and the dead is the thinnest the dead being your loved ones, you know like being able to see your Grandma again. Not like the Christians make it out to be. Believe me Pagans are not bad people

I'm a Catholic Christian and I don't celebrate Halloween. My children are not allowed to partake in any Halloween celebrations or activities and they are totally cool about it.

Christians shouldn't celebrate Halloween. That is the Devil's holiday and it is to comenrate the time he left heaven to come down and live with the daughters of men. Forsaking his possission in heaven and being disobedient to God.

I do not celebrate it.
It gives place to Satan.
Why would I celebrate a day set aside for the devil?

I don't because I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and I don't celebrate Halloween because of it's orgins. Halloween was originally celebrated to honor those who died in the flood. Why would anyone want to honor people who were directly killed by god
