Jesus the man? Yes
Was he who he claimed to be? YES!
Though people try, they try to say that Jesus never even existed. Not even thinking of how we measure time. They want us to prove that he is the son of God. All I can say is, "He said so". The bible says that God will reveal truth to whom He chooses. You must be born again to understand the language He uses. To understand His truths. And you'll never get there with a prideful heart. Humble yourself and you'll see what you really are in the eyes of God...
and He wants to save you anyway.

I believe, he was alive.
But was a political child born from the union of the daughter of a high priest of the temple of David called Miriam and Anti pater, son of Herod, and therefore the true heir to Herod's throne.

Modern biblical scholarship makes a very compelling case for the idea that Jesus never existed... that he was, in fact, entirely fictional.

Nope. What's there to believe? You can't prove he really existed. When one story is passed down from generation to generation, you end up with all kinds of different versions. That's exactly why there are so many different types of Christianity (this goes for other religions too). He might have been different, and wiser than other people of that time, but that doesn't mean he was the son of god. He might have been a genius, or just a very advanced human being. You never know. And "Virgin" Mary might have been a whore (Of course she wouldn't tell anyone).
Bottom line is, it doesn't matter whether you believe it or not, because you can't prove it. You cant prove that he didn't exist, but you can't prove he did, either. So my advice is to stop focusing on past things that don't make a difference, and start focusing on our life right here and now. Not thousands of years ago. After all, people who don't believe in Jesus are doing so much better than those who do, because they (hopefully) realize that they should focus on themselves, and not Jesus. By focusing on Jesus, you miss out on all the great things you could've done for yourself, and others too.

Yes I do - not just as a historical person, but as my Lord and Savior, fully God and fully man - nailed to a cross and and put to death in place of me. Yes, I believe in Jesus.

I suppose the more important question is this: Do YOU believe in Jesus?
