Does he do that to everyone or just your family? Watch him before you say anything, he may just be following his bosses orders. If he only does your family like this you should definitely let him know you are watching him but first you should write down every time he does this, so you can keep record, Get several pictures to keep also, maybe on a camera phone or something that he won't notice while you are taking it. It would be good if you could record what he says also. You should keep this record as proof. After you get all this proof, ask him why he he is doing this, if he argues then tell him you have been keeping record and have pictures, that will probably make him stop, if not go the the building owner, if that does not work, then you can file harassment charges at the police station and you will have the proof!

I don't know the laws concerning security guards in your area but what is universal is that your rights and the laws of your state supersede anything he may call his rules. As long as you obey the law he is out of line and committing a crime in harassing you, your friends or your family. If the illegal activity is overt and on that area he is assigned to he may call the police. Certain rules may be instituted by the owner of the building and enforced by security if they are posted so that all can see them. There are no circumstance where a residential building security can search anyone let alone a fifteen yr old girl. Right down what he does and and keep that record for the police. The fellow sounds like a perv getting a free feel and I would make sure he pays for it.

you should first call the police. although laws differ from state to state, if this guy is searching your 15 year old daughter he is waay out of line! anyone who has ever watched "cops" can tell you that male officers do not search female detainees. he seems to be on a power trip of some sort and you should report him to the police. he has no arrest powers ,unless he is employed by the state because you are in a county funded facility. even then he has no right to search your daughter. call the real cops on him.

what are the terms of your lease? there may be some fine print that you didnt know you agreed to when you signed it. or it could just be that he thinks he has a license to be an *** because he is a rent a cop! talk to the land lord about it in a nice way....you dont want to make yourself a target for eviction, but maybe they are not aware of what he is doing. anyway a male "officer" should not be searching a female, especially one that is a minor! i would say that was definately a violation of her rights! call your local office of the civil liberties union.

You agree to live by certain rules in some low income housing IF it is subsidized. Are they doing something to draw his attention? If not, file a complaint with the Housing authority. Make sure you have your facts in order, and be specific, and calm.

If hes just a security guard he cant search without consent. Call the police next time he does it if its for no reason, and call management and ask how to file a complaint. Sounds like he might be a pervert to me.

Unless your apartment is located on the grounds of a federal or state prison the guard has no rights.
Does he do pat downs on your daughter & her friends ?
If he is doing pat downs he is molesting your daughter & her friends.
If he is just checking bags they carry he is violating their privacy.
Report him ASAP to your local authorities.
The guard is not a police officer and has no police powers. He is there primarily as a fire watchman. The owner of the building gets a discount on his fire insurance with the presence of a guard on the property.

Your rights are to get a job and get out of low income housing and to learn how to speak and write the English language. Other than that you have no rights.
