Generally to have casual, one-time sex with someone you're not seriously dating. It can also mean two people got together (as in a relationship) but is generally used to mean the former.

Their are many different meanings.

In high school, it just means they made out.

Out of high school when adults say they hooked up, it means they had sex.

omg. how previous are you heavily. it ability like kissing, making out, and im guessing you dont be attentive to what any of the different issues in contact in hooking up may well be so unwell purely quit there. yet in certainty, its no longer a date, its doing issues with one yet another.
