New Age religion are spirituality can take many forms. But usually they believe in reincarnation of some sort, or perhaps in different spiritual levels that a person can go through. They usually eschew belief in the standard, biblical, personal God, and instead believe in a sort of impersonal Higher Power, or Life Force, that one can tap into to gain insight. Alot of New Agers also dispute that Jesus was the Son of God, and instead think of him as merely a great moral teacher.
Ironically, alot of the so-called New Age stuff gets its beliefs from ancient eastern religions like Buddhism and Taoism, which are thousands of years old!

if you are talking about the New Age religion, it is basically pre christian Pagan clotures, and religions that have been repackaged to suit the tastes of European and American Spiritualists. Many of them have been bastardized to the point that most of the original spirituality is gone from them and has been replaced with completely different traditions and rituals.
I feel that they are still viable religions, but they should not try to call themselves by their ancient names.
ex.
I am a Celtic Pagan, and i call myself a New Age Practicioner of Ancient Spiritualism.
i use New Age to define myself as a person that follows New Wisdom.
Practicioner, as one that practices my beliefs.
Ancient Spiritualism. as a desriptor of being based in ancient gods\goddesses, and rituals.
I will never call myself a Druid, because i was not trained by a Druid that was trained by a Druid etc, in the ancient traditions.
however i follow the celtic Gods and Goddesses, and i look to the History books not the New Age section of the bookstore to find my information.
New Age is largely self tailored religious beliefs. you find what fits you and use it.

it has many variations, but the underlining idea is that we are all part of a cosmic "Christ consciousness", and we just need to realize it.
It totally goes against the Person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ; it is contrary to the teachings of the Bible.
