Judge by his actions and character. Although these are very good indications of whether he likes you or not, it will always be a leap of faith.

they will try anything to get a fruit from its tree even it is on the top. once they have got it in their hand, they will check if there was a bad part. if any, they may bite the good part or may throw away and go for another one.

If he flirts with you like, makes you laugh, pokes you, asks for help, eye contact with you. Talk about you with his friends. If he does all this then he might/maybe like you.
