Make sure you are taking the dog out every 30 min, when not home think about crate training, Make sure the crate is only big enough for the dog to stand, lie down, and turn around in to keep it from going in their. Also go to your local petstore and purchase a cleaner designed for this, they have special enzymes in them so even the dog won't smell where they have gone. There is a plug in you can purchase too, its called comfort zone. What is does is realeases hormones in the air that help relax the dog, getting rid of problem behaviors. I had to use this on my cat that was going in the house. It worked within one day, It's not the cheapest but it was awsome, you can find it at a petstore too. good luck

Buy a crate if you don't already have one. Until he is 100% trained keep him in the crate at all ties that you are not playing with him or watching him. Dogs love crates because it feels like a little den, if you introduce it right. Get a crate big enough only for him to stand up, turn around, and lie down in. Give him a toy in there, and a blanket (not too soft or he may pee on it) They don't go to the bathroom where they sleep. Take him out 20 minutes after you feed him or water him. Only go out there for a couple of minutes and say "go potty" or "do your business" - whatever you tell him to do. Let him sniff around but if he doesn't do it within 3 minutes take him back inside and put him right in his crate. Wait 20 minutes, and take him back outside, making sure he doesn't have the chance to go potty in the house on the way out. By then he should have to go. If he doesn't go within 3 minutes take him back inside again and put him directly in his crate. 20 minutes later take him out again. Repeat until he goes right when he gets outside. Praise him by saying "good potty", or something like that. Do this consistantly and you will have a housetrained dog. If he does have an accident clean it up with Nature's Miracle - found at petco or petsmart. I did this with my dog and now he pees on command! Even if he only has a little pee and I tell him "go potty" he will squirt a little out!! Good Luck!

Rubbing their nose in it is an archaic method of trying to teach your dog not to pee on the carpet. It is very difficult for them to learn through this method. The real trick is to remove the scent from the carpet. If you don't your puppy will continue going back to the same spot and peeing. Use an enzyme cleaner deodorant from one of the pet stores to make sure you get all of the scent up. Water and vinegar is also good. I have heard of people adding water and vinegar to the cleaning solution when they shampoo their carpet. Use positive reinforcement to teach your puppy where to potty. If you catch your puppy peeing inside, interrupt and take them outside where you want it to potty. Reward for good behavior. A reward after doing what you want will help them learn that is the desired behavior.

I read your other questions, and realized you are really trying to get along with this little dog.. However, the yelling and hitting have actually made it harder for her to be house-trained..as the entire training is based on trust..I think you got the dog before learning anything about dog behaviors..and it was a disaster waiting to happen....It would have been so much easier to get off on the right foot from the start...
However, I haven't met the dog that couldn't be potty trained with patience and love...
When a dog has insecurities, she is hard to potty train...it is much as the child that is a bed wetter....No matter how much the parent ridicules the child, he can't stop wetting the bed, so it only causes a traumatized child..
A puppy of that age will need to pee and poop about 15-25 minutes after she eats..Take her for a walk (walking stimulates the bowels and bladder to move) for 20 minutes, or until she does go..take her to a secluded area, as she is showing insecurity by doing it only in the house...You see, she thinks that if she does it outside, then the 'boogyman' can find a poor defenseless puppy by her scent...But, if she does it inside, her scent is covered by your scent, and she feels safe from the predators....
She needs to walk where it is quiet, and no other dogs or dog smells are around..Take a bit of her poo in a plastic bag, and put it down in a secluded corner where you want her to go..then, after she has walked a bit, take her back to that spot and stand around, allowing her to sniff...she is likely to go in a few minutes..this is not the time to praise, as she doesn't want it noticed...but, cheerfully take her back indoors and give her a treat or play with her....Take her to pee every 2 hours..and then learn at what hours she will actually do it...That will be her routine, and after about a week, you will know when to take her out..to keep her from needing to do it indoors..
Dogs need 14 repetitions to learn a task, so be patient, and after about 14 times, she will be dependable to 'go' out side.
Feed her on a routine, and 3 times per day at her age..pick up her food after 10 minutes... Leave water down at all times.
Please don't scold her for doing it indoors, or you will only traumatize the act of elimination all the more..and it will take longer to get her doing it out of doors... she wont do it until she feels safe..
When you become frustrated, and feel at the end of your rope..Just give your mom a call..and talk to her about how she potty trained you..how long it took..how many diapers she changed..how many times she had to change wet bedding..how many times she hit you for it...

Get a crate from the pet store and put her in it at night time or when she is by herself, with a bowl of water. Dog don't pee in their sleeping quarter. Praise her with a treat when she is doing her business outside.

Oh my goodness I hate it even as MY puppy rock continually pee and craps on my arm, my brother, my canines, my table, my homework (My instructor doesn't trust that's the ROCK) -_-, and just about each and every thing else. Scare it that's the most proper way. Glen Quagmire taught me a powerful lesson. "GIGGITY GIGGITY OOH EH OH LALA SHIN SHAN WOBBA BEBE BANG! OH EH O LALA CHING CHANG BARA E BANG! AND enable'S HAVE sex!" There you pass tell that in case you rock says no.

If she was housebroken up until now, I would see your vet she may have an infection, only a vet can diagnose and treat that.
Also, purchase Natures Miracle for your carpet.

You'll have to monitor him/her for awhile, and catch him/her in the act. When you do, stop him/her with a "ep ep ep" or "ah ah", pick him/her up and take her to where you want him/her to finish eliminating. Also, when he/she eliminates in the right location, you have to praise him/her like crazy and you can even give your dog treats. Good luck :)
