As nature is neither 'good' nor 'bad' our intention, surely, should we invoke daemons is the key?

you have misread me i think. I am saying, that we witches harness energies of nature, and daemons, being part of nature are not good OR bad. The intention is the important thing.

LMFAO! Never ceases to amuse me when I hear from somebody else that believes this kind of stuff.
But just to humour you
DAEMON
1 an evil spirit , a source or agent of evil, harm, distress, or ruin
2 an attendant power or spirit
3 a supernatural being of Greek mythology intermediate between gods and men
4 one that has exceptional enthusiasm, drive, or effectiveness

Our hearts and minds should be pure and anything which tarnishes them should not be tolerated. As human adults we have a choice whether we go the good road or the bad road. We should not judge as one day we will be judged and the same way we judged others will be the same way we too will be measured. To say the way someone lives their life is wrong is judgement - and I am sure most Christians will be very quick to tell you what they think of demons and witches. If they try to condemn you tell them Jesus himself said i come not to judge you but to save you. Jesus despised not the demon-possessed but the hypocrites who went round telling people how to live their lives. On the outside they appeared God-fearing but inside they were completely the opposite. A brood of vipers Jesus declared them. We are born to worship. Some people spend their whole lives searching for the idol that makes them complete - the final piece of the jigsaw. St Augustine described it as a God-shaped hole each one has from birth. Which piece do you think will fit?

As an eclectic witch I on not believe in demons in the biblical sense as that would be to say I believe in the existense of the Devil. There are spirits that have negative energies, which maybe cause bad things, is this what you mean?

supernatural being, generally malevolent in character. In general, the more civilized pagan societies came to consider demons as powerful, supernatural beings who lacked the dignity of gods and who, depending on the circumstance, might be either benevolent or malevolent in their dealings with men. Some demons, like the Greek Pan, were nature spirits; others were guardians of the home or fields or watchers over travelers; still others were spirits of disease and insanity or dream spirits. Some demons were considered to be intermediaries between men and the gods. It was not until the development of late Hebraic and Christian thinking that demons came to represent the unqualified malevolence so common in European demonology of the 16th and 17th cent. This period was a high point in the study of demons, in the speculation on their nature, number, and specific fiendishness. The list compiled in 1589 by a demonologist named Binsfield was considered to be highly authoritative; in it he listed the following major demons and their particular evils: Lucifer (pride), Mammon (avarice), Asmodeus or Ashmodai (lechery), Satan (anger), Beelzebub (gluttony), Leviathan (envy), and Belphegor (sloth). The widespread and ancient belief in demons is still a strong force in many regions of the world today.

To be honest, there is enough dark power in the world, that is why we are so out of balance, would be a better idea to invoke the light and offset the darkness and begin to bring a balance.

Nature itself is cursed. Whose fault is that? Mankind. Who tempted them in the first place? Lucifer. Who is Lucifer? Satan. What is Satan? A Demon. Where do I get my knowledge from? The Bible. Demons are evil to the core, whether you believe it or not. They are evil and so is mankind (and womankind). They want people like you to think that they are nice beautiful and cuddly so they can do more damage. Think about it. Would a cuddly charactor cause so much damage?

As a witch, you believe in demons?
Many witches do not believe in demons, though there are spirits/elements/whatever you wish to call them that are less then friendly to humans. I can't say I would ever recommend purposely calling upon those beings....that's just playing with fire, ya know?

Stop kidding yourself. When dealing with the supernatural you are out of your league.

You may think that you are able to "harness" forces like that, but the reverse is actually true.
