My husband's sister has always felt threatened by me, I'm quite sure it's jealousy. I used to have a great relationship with her daughter until she got jealous of that too and refused to allow us to see her daugter for a year! Our niece!!! His sister was the only girl with two brothers. I don't feel as if she has ever wanted me in the family. I've been married to my hubby for 23 years! She once told me that if it weren't for me she would be able to have the relationship she wants with him... not true! he doesn't agree with most of her morals and life ways. Last year she & her family blew off my birthday completely, as if after 23 years they just forgot? Not that I need gifts or cards from them, but we only live 20 min. from them. My husband was so angry he ignored HER birthday... but this year it's embarrassing... I just want to pretend I'm not home if they call. I don't EVEN want to hear from them because I know it will be forced. Why are women such biatches sometimes?

My 'sister-in-law' is diagnosed bipolar, she's great when shes on her meds, and she is usually good about taking them. When she's not... its a different story. I dont like some of her lifestyle choices and some of the decisions she makes, but the thing to remember is that at the end of the day, the only one she's really hurting is herself. In your case, it sounds like shes jelous and genuinely doesn't like you. There's nothing you can do about that except make your life as good as possible and try not to be to much of a ***** back- because wont help.

I actually really hate my sil with a passion...............her first words to me was WE think it is too soon for you to get married.........OK deep breath and my reply was ODDLY enough was not asking your permission so think you are a little confused there and as we have been together for the past 3 years JUST how bloody long do you feel we should wait............now this was neither our 1st marriage.
basically it has gone down hill from there................sad to say his mother is most certainly lead by the daughter..........
She is SO up her self and no matter what I have done try and open lines of communications she has slapped them down, so basically there is just no contact.............
And I so feel for you regarding the no cards thing I have two kids he has two kids and yet its OK to ignore mine from ALL of his family yet woe betide if I dare forget them..........which until this year I did not leave anyone out but then thought why should I................
Dont know where you can go with this one tho, If ou ever get an insight to this please let me know.................I am civil to his mother as I do not want him to loose the last of his family but in ALL honesty there are not worth the effort. period

my sister in law is bi polar (well the doctors havent told her that but we know she is) and shes ok at time but then other time i hate her i didnt get 2 see my little neice until she was 2 becasue she kept her from us and now since she has another baby she forgets about he first daughter my mom and her didnt talk 4 a year and she juss isnt all there if u know what i mean

i have 4 sister-in-laws and they are great! we are not all best friends or anything but we all like each other. i think you should swallow your pride and anger and call her and tell her you are sorry for the bad feelings between you and ask her over for dinner. how would you and your husband feel if she died tomorrow and you never got to tell her that you really cared? life is way too short for that! take the first step...i think you will be glad you did.

I have a sister-in-law that took my brothers "BALLS" away!!!! She will not let him talk to any of his Family except our Mom. I guess I'm on the other side of the fence. This woman has picked fights with just about everyone in the family.She makes nasty remarks about us or to us. When we say something back to her,she runs to my brother,saying that we said this or that to her. He never asks to hear our side of the story.

No, none of them. I get along better with my husband's ex wife than I do my sisters-in-law. My husbands ex wife and I talk and email each other alot. My sisters-in-law and I don't hardly talk. Very limited. Sam

my boyfriend's sister is such a *****. she really liked me before she started going into puberty and started becoming one of those "scene bitches". she's also really mad that my boyfriend's mother thinks of me as a daughter. it's so funny.

My brother's wife: I love her! We are close friends, and I couldn't be happier to have her in our family.
My husband's sister: She's "okay". We won't be hanging out anytime soon.:)
