I support you are asking whether the quest for a physical outward beauty makes a person spiritually ugly. But as is the case with physical attractiveness, spiritual beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some people may find a "shallow" or "conceited" person to be spiritually and emotionally complementary to their self.

only in a sad way.. the ones who strive for outter beauty are usually the ones who are ugly inside.. It is sort of a compensation... Beauty is only skin deep. It is the person within that counts.. Human nature is sad at times.

I like this question.
Beauty is a very wonderful and natural thing. To me 'natural' connotes an ease and grace. I think of an athlete 'striving' and working really hard. Beauty runs deep but so does ugly.
In closing, I've never gone to bed with an ugly woman . . . but I've woken up with a few!

It can guy
The one beautiful girl I knew was prodded to run for Miss Idaho.
She didn't, but they wanted her to.
But she was a conniver. A manipulater, and a liar.
What the big deal with me is it seems I'm the only one that knew her true self.
Everyone loved her.
Don't get me wrong, I had feelings for her too, but it's like I'm the only one that could see what she was.
Beauty is skin deep, but ugly is to the bone.

I think so. I see a person for their inner beauty just as much if not more than their outer beauty.
When one works and works and works really hard on being beautiful on the outside, it turnes them very sour in the inside.

This all depends on your idea of beauty.
In my Native tongue, Mescalero Apache, the word for Beauty is the same word for Balance and Harmony. Thus our concept of it is not carnal but spiritual.

It can if one overdoes the plastic surgery and one operative procedure goes wrong...people should accept themselves for who they are and not compete with others or change what God has given them in life to work with....

Only if it takes over your life. There is no harm done in having your hair done, but not if your bills need paid.
