I would like to lose a few pounds here and there, but I do not have a method or know of any that are both safe and successful. I can not take diet pills because they are packed with caffeine and I have a heart condition. Any suggestions? Any foods/food groups that should be limited? How about ways to stick with a diet/exercise plan?

First if you are loosing weight see a doctor for a physical exam.
Secondly, eat a balanced diet free from sugars and carbs as much as possible. Lean meats, fresh fruits and veggies and whole grains.
Thirdly, exercise. Combined weight and cardiovascular exercise.

Medicine, and pills are not always trustable. I used to go on diet, and this way worked the best. Eat only healthy breakfast and lunch, no dinner. At least only water or milk, avoid soda. If you really hungry at dinner time, the only food that you could eat is salad. Tries to get away from thousand island, since it contains too much calaries. Run a mile everyday, or do exercises. IMPORTANT!! get away from sweets and chocolates!!!

Dont drink any cokes keep drinking water. And as for exercise just walk everyday a little farther everyday. Good Luck.
