sure. i dont see how a sane well informed individual can accept it! there is no logic at all in it. so ambigious and ever changing its views on issues. held back science n progress for centuries.

I am christian and the answer is yes. You are not insane if you reject Christianity. Many feel that you have to be some sort of killer, blood drinker, devil worshiper in order to not except christianity. I had a misunderstanding of the bible when I was a "Baby Christian". It was due to misguidence and misinterpretation. I went through (or better yet was put through) a terrible situation. I had an agonizing almost supernatural calling to seek the trinity (Father, Son, Holy ghost). That is the only thing that got me through!!!!
There is a time in everyones life where they have to make a choice to either believe or not. It is human nature to want to see, touch, feel, and smell. If you see a unicorn you believe, but if someone tells you they saw one, you won't. You just have to do your part and God will do the rest.
The most important thing is that you read the bible before you decide to reject the message. In life there will always be an instance where you can't explain why something happend, why you don't feel alone when you can't see anyone, why the impossible is made possible. There will be a point were science just won't cut it and you will have to think beyond.
With that being said, I must tell you that it is easier and wiser to seek out the truth for yourself, before it seeks you.
Good luck and I hope you find your answer soon.

I think my Christian faith is what keeps me sane and informed in this world. Were it not for the restraint of my faith in a higher moral authority, I would probably aspire to be a super-villian on the level of the darkest comic books. If all I had to answer to was man...It boggles the mind. The wonderfully complex, egocentric plots that would be hatched. I could be a polititian. A democrat even. I could spread inconvenient "Truths". Scary isn't it.
Nah, I'll keep my faith.

Most certainly. There are many people who have a completely sane mind, and have plenty of knowledge about the Bible, and also know very well that the Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is the only real way of being saved from sin. Yet they refuse to accept Christ as their Savior, because they do not want to give up their sinful ways, and live a life which is pleasing unto God. What they do not realize, is that once they become Children of God, the will not even have a desire for the sinful things or ways that they love so greatly at this time. I know this because God's Word tells us in 2 Cor. 5:17: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." This means that once we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, the old desires of our heart will be taken away, and we will have new desires for the things which are pleasing unto God.

Sure. I am a sane, well-informed person who is not bigoted, fearful, chauvinistic, arch conservative, or wanting to run the government according to my values, and I am a Christian. There are millions like me. But do I find it hard to understand why some people reject my faith because of the huge negative image created by bible bangers...not at all.

No, it style of feels you have a psychological situation for thinking like that. i'm a sane, properly-counseled individual who happens to be an atheist. i do no longer bypass around attempting to transform each Christian I see right into a non believer. that is their decision.

Yes. They do all the time. Well informed however, is relative. I believe that if you were well informed enough to know everything there is to know, then one wouldn't reject it. But that won't happen for a while...

I think you know the answer to that one, don't you? I say yes. A Christian would say no. I'm curious to see if I'm right or not.
