Our college aged son has fever of 102, chills and headache. Sounds like the flu, but seems too early inthe season.. What do you think?

I know people say most things are seasonal, but it is never too early, i right now have a sore throat, my daughter has had a runny nose for weeks, and my husband had the flu 3 weeks ago. You know i was thinking on this question, and you might want to consider menagitis...they have similar symptoms, and if he is in college then it is definatly something to think about.

you can get the flu anytime. if your son feels any neck soreness or stiffness, tell him to get to a doctor ASAP. early stages of meningitis can be mistaken for flu, but can be deadly if not treated.
