a. unless you tell us, we may never get a clue. Be straight!
b. If we don't respond, maybe we don't want to.
c. If we do respond, and we made a mistake, we embarrass ourselves.
d. We are not letting you act like a total dummy. We can't make you, or let you act anything at all.All we can be is ourselves.
e. the line between being nice and friendly and flirting is often very different for different people.

Because you are a "dummy".....if you're dropping hints......that's just silly and childish.....my boyfriend has a saying (he got from a comedian at some point)....."Hints don't work.....subtle hints don't work.....obvious hints don't work....if you want a man to know something TELL HIM"......don't beat around the bush. If you're interested in a man/boy.....let him know, flat out......if you're worried about rejection, grow up and get over it.....life's not always gonna hand you everything on a sliver platter.....

As guys we "suspect" when a girl is dropping hints but because so many of you like to play head games and flirt just to practice for the guy(s) you are actually interested in - most of us just don't care enough to put the insane amount of effort into it that is needed to find out if you do actually like us. We just naturally find it much much easier to go after an "easy" girl rather than one who is just dropping hints that to us COULD mean ANYTHING.
If you want something GO AFTER IT! Instead of just tossing vague hints out and then wondering what happened....especially if some other girl went after him and wouldn't give up until she had what she wanted.

(1) He's stupid
(2) He's cautious
(3) He's enjoying the attention
Use your common sense and suss it out which one he is.
If he's stupid, forget about him. If he's the cautious type, be a bit more obvious. If he's just playing along and enjoying the attention, then stop being nice to him and ignore the guy. If he likes you, he'll sit up and try to get your attention. THEN you nail him.

Well what would be the fun in letting you know, we know. It is a lot more fun to not let you know. That way you will keep doing it and it will keep giving us some of the attention that we want. Who does not like someone liking them.
