There is no body function when the brain is dead. The brain is what tells your body what to do. Your heart will stop beating and you will cease to exist. Unless they put you on machines to keep your heart beating. But your still Dead. Just the living dead.

Brain dead= that the brain can no longer give out commands to the muscles or tissues thus if a person is brain dead, the person will be like a vegetable. The person can be still breathing and alive because the heat pumping mechanism is not control by the nbrain. It is an involuntary action. So the heart will continues to pump blood through the body e.g. to the brain, lungs...

It won't. The brain is the major functioning area that sends messages to all the other body functions. If you are on life support, that will keep your body going. but, you know, you might as well give it up. Sounds kind of harsh, but you won't know anything anyway... you're gone.

The body does not function. They preserve it by putting it on a breathing machine to keep the lungs pumping air until they harvest the organs they want from the cadaver that is if the person is a donor. If they are not, when they turn off the machines, the patient dies.

I may be wrong but once you have brain death there is only momentary function and then you flat line. If you are still functioning in anyway i dont think that you are truly brain dead.

"Brain dead" doesn't imply the patient's brain has no function. Rather, it is a term suggesting a person's brain capacity is severely limited, often confused with vegetation.
