Actually 36 weeks is considered full term, which is 9 months. You divide 36 by 4 and it is nine. 40 weeks is when the doctors normally induce. Most docs will stop labor if it is anywhere before 35-36 weeks. So most babies are born between 36 and 40. Hardly anyone really makes it to 40 though and then most of them are induced because they are over-due.

You can go into labor from 38 weeks to 42 weeks. If you are having a C section the Doctor tells you when you will have the baby.

It depends on if this is your first or not. Also where you live can factor in. My dr. told me typically in my state (colorado) women usually go into labor 1 to 2 weeks early.. But then again here I am at 39 week and I still havent had her. It really depends on when the little one is ready to say hello :)
