But I dont know why i do. All the time I see girls checking me out at school( about 5 different girls today). I guess I am attractive, but I don't really see why girls like me. Yeah it flatters me that they do but i guess I really dont think much of myself

I do the same thing. Guys check me out & ask me out all the time. Men are always telling me im beautiful, but in my eyes im very plain. Not "hot" like they tell me. I don't understand what they see. I think their view of me and mine are very different. I talked to a guy about this once. We were in a busy mall and he told me to take a look around. He said he could spend the whole day there and really have a hard time finding someone there that was more beautiful. At the time we were in the food court...he made me take a look around and all I could see was a bunch of overweight, kind of strange looking people. That made me feel really good (not that knowing other people are overweight & weird makes me happy, I just saw myself from a different perspective).

Try to see yourself from their eyes. We are our own worst critics. When you see yourself you see your flaws. Those flaws are invisible or very, very small to other people. Compare yourself to some guys around you. Are those other guys really all that great??

Take it easy on yourself. Everyone feels insecure sometimes. What's funny to me is...the more secure you feel, the more attractive you are to others. Being comfortable in your own skin looks good on you.

Stop thinking and just enjoy life. Be kind to others, which I'm sure you already are otherwise you wouldn't have girls already checking you out. Most of all, be kind to yourself. Don't try think about unimportant things like looks, just respect for yourself and others. Everything else will fall into place and you're self esteem will fix itself.

That's typical for a young man in school. Guess what? Most all your peers have the same feelings and reactions as you do! Be proud of yourself. Carry yourself with confidence like you belong and others will believe that you do. You sound like a nice young man. Best of luck to you!

first off, you need to realize that you are a treasure to yourself and to the world and that you are valuable, once you realize your self worth it wont matter how many girls check you out a day because you will know it yourself already (although compliments are helpful;)) do you remember those people in the back of your mind that act like the world revolves around them (yes, those people!) dont act like them, think like them, but realize that you are above nobody and below nobody and your self esteem will rise

The best way that I have found to improve my own self esteem is to involve myself in activities where I know I will be appreciated, for instance I belong to a club and I volunteer my time. It helps me to feel great, appreciated and helpful.
