I fell in love with my one of my best guy friends a little while ago. But today when I got up the courage to tell him that I like him he came up to me and told me that he had told the girl he like a couple nights ago. But he can't remember what she had said to him. Now I'm trying to get by on the unitentional heartbreak. Should I still tell him how I feel? What are the worst and best case scenarios?

I would definitely not tell him. Dating always goes better when the guy starts being interested in the girl first. He's proved he can, because he told you he is interested in someone. So if something were to happen with you two its better if you let him be the one to start it. Plus, the fact that he likes another girl already means probably he is not going to be able to think of someone else (you) that way right now, the other girl is too fresh in his mind.
At least give it some time. Try this - pick a guy you are pretty sure would go out with you, better yet one that asked you out, and go with him for a couple months. Then see how you feel. I don't think it is going to happen with your friend, so hopefully you will get over him. But even if it is going to happen you need to distract yourself until he gets an interest in you, if that is going to happen.

more than likely he if can't even remember if she likes him or not he will come around and see that there's you his best friend who has feelings for him and hopefully he will have the same feelings too. if he keeps on with the same old excuse find someone else because hes not worth your time if you wont come around and realize that he could have a good thing with you. definately plant that seed with him by talking to him about your feelings and telling him that you care about him more than the other girl he likes.

I think that you should tell him how you feel but remember once you start dating and yall mite break up things between yall wont be the same.
