I am a couple of days late so i took the first response pregn test and the first two came out positive then i am one of those people who wants to be compltly sure so i drank alot of water and took at thrid and this didnt come out as positive it had one faint line will water do that to the result?

Sounds prego to me. You diluted your urine drinking the water so the result was not as clear. You only use the 1st morning urine for the best result. If you were not pregnant...then the line would not appear at all. Congrats! I hope that it is a good thing.

Go to your doctor and or Planned parenthood to get a second opinion. The over the counter ones can be a little sketchy. You get better results when you first wake up anyways. More water in your system the more watered down the hormones are that give you the results, thus the faint line. Getting a professional opinion will be best to verify or deny your results.

Like everyone else said, go to the doctor to be sure. Most home pregnancy tests are as accurate as the one in the doctors office though, so chances are good that you're pregnant. Im 31 weeks, and I was the same way- I did two home tests before i went to the doctor, and i didn't tell anyone until after that! good luck, and congratulations.

You should only take the test first thing in the morning.. with your first pee.. thats the most accurate.. BTW I don't trust those things anymore. I took one when I was a few days late and it said negative, needless to say I am 39 weeks pregnant, I found out the trust at a dr's appt a few weeks later. Id goto the dr's instead :)

If you got a positive test then you are pregnant!! Congratulations, in the third test your wee may have been diluted due to the fact that you drank lots of water!!!! Again Congratulations!!!!

In early pregnancy if you dilute your urine by drinking large amounts of water you are also diluting the amount of HCG (the pregnancy hormone that a pregnancy test is testing for) in the urine. That can cause a false negative very early in pregnancy. If the first two tests you took were positive--you're pregnant.

You should always use the first pee of the day! If your other two test came out positive and the third wasnt clear.. you might feel more comfortable seeing a doctor and having him tell you face to face!
