Well I will tell you one thing, chemicals and products are not good for your hair. I have tried also and they do not work. I have been using a ceramic straightener and I love it. And I can tell you it sure works. And you don't have to pay a whole lot of money for them either. They have ones out there that are cheap and work the same way as the expensive ones. Give it a try I am sure you will love it. It makes your hair really soft too, and longer, once it straightens out the waves in the hair. And colour, it will enhance the colour also. As it did mine. The color shows more.

I'm a cosmetologist and my best advice is to use a combination of a flat iron and biosilk. That is temporary (till the next wash). If you want to go permanent after that you can buy a box of the perming solution that you use to curl your hair. Just when you put it on instead of curling it have someone to comb your hair for 15 to 20 minutes. That will permanently straighten your hair until it grows out. Best of Luck.

The best thing to do would be to get a straightening iron. They have all kinds of them. I like the one that you can use wet or dry.

Once you get it straight, use either pommade, or hair glue, I like hair glue, pommade makes my hair look too greesy. Those will help to give you control for where you want your hair to lay. Then use some kind of light hold hair spray to hold it.

Blow dry in sections with a round brush till dry, then flat iron with a ceramic straightner. Use silicon smoothing serums like biosilk, peratin, etc with caution; they will serioulsy dry your hair.

I know this is the answer everyone is putting, but that's 'cause it is like the only answer to put... a straightening iron.

P.S. straightening also makes your hair look longer and thicker
