The devil believes in God too, and Jesus.

That fallen one still sins too.

Whomever he is, he certainly doesn't practice what he preaches.

No, it's not okay and he has no authority to rebuke anyone until he can lead by example.

Rebuke him back with scriptural proof of his sins.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

the idea about sin is that we are to resist it and when we make a mistake try to stop after asking for gods forgiveness and the forgiveness of the folks we sinned against thats the bible way read some of it so when you see folks doing the wrong thing it wont surprise you just do the best you can and try not to get caught up in someones troubles help them and keep a healthy space between you and them

Hypocrites. Ok, we all make mistakes, but when we find out we are making them we are not to defend them. 'Godly sorrow worketh repentance'. We get honest and change so we don't make that mistake again, or at least we do our honest best not to. Then we don't need to defend our evil, we simply walk in truth and the truth will need no defence.

So yeah, it is hypocritical.

People continually use the 'flesh is weak' and 'all things are lawful' to justify their dishonesty. They are unwilling to change and merely want to be name only christians. Being a son of God is a true learning experience.

Sure we make mistakes. I do, and I know lots of others who do. But we try not to do so and we never use scripture to justify our error. That is blasphemy and private interpretation. Both of which God does not want us to be doing.

very good question'

satan is a christian god

you are acknowledging the fact you know it's in YOUR midst among your own faith...hippo crites

following satan from your point of view is what I call freedom from religion and exercising your rights to choose own path

suposedly god creates us with free will....is that wrong or if we do are we the devil?

as you see the religion and logic is flawed

start over without doctrine and religious dogma

life is simpler and less confusing

go with what you know not what others know

Yes it is hypoccritical but we are just humans. Jesus was without sin. Since there was no way we could ever be without sin, he died so that we may have eternal life. We go to heaven not by acts but by faith. All we can do is try, God knows each of our hearts and circumstances and it is up to him to judge.
