If the opportunity is available, a nice slow pace with nightly stops should see a coast to coast trip taking 3-4 weeks. Certainly it's not necessary to take more than 2 weeks but, if there's time to spend a few extra days in Chicago, Denver, LAS VEGAS & Los Angeles [while staying under budget], by all means, don't miss out. Be sure to see 'Flagstaff', if only the signage around the rim of the Canyon just so you can reminise in the future. We did it in 1976, [bi-centenial] in a brand new MG Midget! NY to Seattle & as much of 66 as we could! It's especially scenic in New Mexico & Arizona. As far as money is concerned, it's doubtful that anything under $1500-2k would be appropriate. Naturally, that's a perameter which is dependent on individual spending habits. Happy trails! ;-)

It might have been a little more informative if you had said what country you'd like to traverse. So let me try to reason this out. You come from a country where the people are a little more egotistical than most. Where "it's all about me." Where you think the rest of the world is yours to conquer.
Anyone out there want to take a guess where the original question came from???????????
