For Social Security Disability purposes, any medical or psychiatric conditions that prevents substantial gainful employment (more than a part--time minimum wage job), is a disability..

Your friend should apply at the Social Security office, or over the phone. They will send her forms to fill out. she might be rejected, and then she should see a lawyer and appeal.

I am manic-bipolar-schizophrenia, (I HAVE)Osteo arthritis, spinal arthritis,
Deg. Disc disease, spinal stenosis, facet joint arthritis, bone spurs, fibromyalgia, sciatica, peptic ulcer disease, acid reflux, ulcerated colitis,HBP,IBS, 3 bad heart valves, had 1-TIA, vertigo, thyroids problems, sleeping problems, hemorrhoid & vaginal bleeding, & recurring Broncitis....
these are disabilities!!!! Yet, I been fighting for disability since 2001. The judge said, I'm still able to work 40-60 hours a week & carry upto 50lbs. I can't even lift my hands nor arms above my hairline. I can't walk or stand more than 10 minutes at a time from pain. Can't take arthritis meds due to bleeding problems.
I take spinal shots in my spine + 23 daily pills/some 3 times a day. I worked 24 years & paid in to SS & they tell me I'm able to work....I've learned thru all this the USA GOVERMENT doesn't care about us.
My advice is try: ALLSUPINC....you can do a search & find them online.

It is considered a disability when the Social Security Administration says it is a disability. Until then, there isn't much you can do. If you have long term disability insurance then it is up to their doctors to determine if you are eligible. Until that time you just have to work and struggle to do the best you can.

If you experience killing your dog with a hammer and not remembering it in the morning, then putting 15 oranges in a blender and then breaking it all over the ground and crying, but you know it wont help so you're like what the **** and jsut end up killing yourself eventually. but then you realize that that just sucks too bad so you wake back up and your dog is back so you kill him again and you'rew way manic by this point so you're flourishing in such a happy and good mood and you're like gee I really love thATJ
