I lost 100 pounds after 3 years. I am pretty happy about it, but sometimes in social situations I am still shy. I have a hard time changing my habits and thoughts to co-inside with my new look. Anyone else have this problem and how did you deal with it?

I know exactly what you mean. I've lost around 100 pounds in the last year or so and while its nice when people say I look great or whatever, it makes me so self conscienous. I still think like a fat person...even when I try clothes on I always first try on a size that is too big for me and then its like, ok, no I am small enough to wear that other size. I'm hoping I'll be able to overcome this as well.

I am fat on the outside but beautiful on the inside. I gave up
a long time ago trying to lose weight. Congratulations on
your achievement. I just take it day by day. I try and make healthy
choices and I focus on the inner me. You've succeeded on changing the outer you. Now it is time to focus on the inner you.
Find a hobby or an interest and start exploring it. If you love books, help out at your local library. Are you into gardening,
crafts, writing, whatever. Work on the inner you and as you do
you will gain more confidence in yourself. Way to go!

all i know is this:
be happy with who your are
big, small, fat,ugly,short...whatever it is on the outside...you are still the same person inside
good looks dont change who you are
so your a little shy...no sweat
if your really worried try and loosen up
have a drink or two...go out with friends
whatever it takes to make you realize that how you live ur life is whats important..not how you look in it:P
