When a person is dying their vibrations become higher and they become perceptible to Soul presence. When a person is dying, the Souls of those who were close to them try to help them with the transition to the Soul dimension. That is why it is common that people near death claim that they saw and spoke to people who have passed over before them. There is nothing strange and nothing sinister about it.

My mother-in-law died last November.
She seemed to be communicating with her deceased sister the day before she passed.
My mother was CT Hospice for about 6 weeks prior to her passing. She could tell who was about to die because she would see them getting last rites from a bishop. The rest of us could not see this. I do not know if the ones going were Catholic or not. My mother was not Catholic. She saw other entities, including one that really freaked her out. It seemed like Death appearing as a black basketball player in silver metallic outfit. She said something specific about his shoes, but I don't remember it. There was a crowd around her at that moment that only she could see.
I was with my Dad when he passed. He had been kind of unconscious that final day. In the last moments he smiled as if he saw someone delightful coming to get him. That was very re-assuring.

Good question. My mother seemed to be talking in her sleep, usually to her mother. About 1 hour before she passed over, she plainly called out the name of her brother who had passed on many years before. They were also very close

Yes. This has happened to a couple members of my family. It was interesting because my grandmother was in a Hospice before she passed away. The Hospice gave out pamphlets that helped people prepare for the death of their loved one. In it, it said that we shouldn't be surprised if they start talking to deceased family members or seeing things that aren't there. I thought it was interesting that a public Hospice noticed enough of it to hand it out to everyone.

Sure, I have also had dying relatives call their own children the devil, and seen them "cooking" back in their kitchen in Arkansas, or so they thought. Dying can play a lot of tricks on your brain.

Dead people can not talk. When one dies, he knows nothing. There is no mini me inside of you that floats off to another land. Your flesh is your soul. Stop being stupid and listening to what dumb people tell you and learn for your self. theisraelofgod.com
