Having gay impulses is not sinful. Acting upon those impulses is. We are not animals who can't control our heat. We have the capacity to choose. We often choose the path of least resistance and act upon our impulses.
Paul calls this for what it is: "For when you were slaves of sin, you were free as far as righteousness was concerned. What benefit did you get from doing those things you are now ashamed of? For those things resulted in death." (Romans 6:20-21)
And
"For this reason, God gave them over to impurity to follow the lusts of their hearts and to dishonor their bodies with one another. They exchanged God's truth for a lie and worshipped and served the creation rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason, God gave them over to degrading passions. Even their females exchanged their natural sexual function for one that is unnatural. In the same way, their males also abandoned the natural sexual function of females and burned with lust for one another. Males committed indecent acts with males, and received in themselves the appropriate penalty for their perversion." (Romans 1:24-27)
And
"You know that wicked people will not inherit the kingdom of God, don't you? Stop deceiving yourselves! Sexually immoral people, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexuals, thieves, greedy people, drunks, slanderers, and robbers will not inherit the kingdom of God." (I Corinthians 6:9)
And
"Likewise, Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities near them, which like them committed sexual sins and engaged in homosexual activities, serve as an example of the punishment of eternal fire." (Jude 1:7)
There are others, but one alone should be enough. If we were to change the issue from being gay, to say, if a person is born a kleptomaniac, should he be free from punishment if he steals? Of course not. You can also use any other behavior and ask the question. Should an alcoholic be excused? Or a pedophile?
See, when we change the issue, it becomes obvious. We are told "...all have sinned and continue to fall short of God's glory." (Romans 3:23)
And the solution is the same for all. Repent and receive Jesus as Lord, and you will be saved from the penalty of sin and death. It is not just a homosexual issue. It is a sin issue.

First, God, the Bible and thinking Christians do not say that being gay is a sin. Being anything is not a sin. Sin is always doing something you should not or not doing something you should.
Second, even if something is a sin, God does not "send" people to hell. A person may go to hell by choosing to live separated from God. In the end God just respects that choice and lets that person live separated from Him forever. That is hell.
People are always deciding that God is not fair based on ideas that God has nothing to do with. First I get the idea, then I hear that God said it, then I decide God is wrong. Find out the truth first, then the reasons for it, then decide.

It isn't, but unfortunately I'm an atheist so I come from the logical side of the planetary population. However, the bible does condemn the act of gay sex although most churches either fudge the issue to stop alienating gays or state that gay love is ok, it's gay sex that isn't. Hence the Sodom and Gomorrah references in the bible and the word sodomy which came from it. Looks like you'd better lose all respect for the christian god. I think the muslim version is pretty much the same. Ever ready to see a useful angle, the jews seem to take a more liberal view of the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Here we have classic case of religious extremists alienating the rest of the world. Yes, the Bible states very clearly that homosexual acts are detested by God. But it's the acts committed, not the people that he hates. If I find another woman attractive, is it okay to committ adultery because my hormones tell me to? No! It's possible to restrain yourself from acts which you know are wrong by using self-control. There are non-practicing gay people in my religion. We don't hate them, and neither does God.
The Bible says: "For a certainty, I perceive that God is not partial. But in every nation the man who serves Him and works righteousness is acceptable to Him." Having wrong tendencies is not a sin. Acting on them is.
Since when do people become defined by their sexuality? Do people introduce themselves as "heterosexual Steve" or "gay Martin"? No. We are all many things, and if your life revolves around your sexual activities, then you have no time for God anyways. If you're gay inclined and still want to serve God, you can.

to know what a sin is, I look to the Bible. The Bible says "no man shall lay with another man." That makes it a sin. If you don't believe in God then you can't sin can you? You have to believe first. If it helps any, I for one believe that God sometimes asks us to choose between Him and what we feel would be what we want or feel we want in life. In other words I really believe that He sometimes allows these unclean feelings of lust for the same sex to see if we will choose Him and live His way.

oddly it don't say anything about women laying with women... (it goes into grate details about both genders in a lot of diffrent situations....so lesbians are ok by the bibble...)
also while it's wrong for women to comit any kinda bestiality... for men only serten kinds of animals are wrong while others are ok....
o.O

Everyone has a op ion on everything. Its only wrong if you talk to someone who says its wrong. It is just like interracial relationships it all depends on who you talk to. What makes it wrong? Those few people who never traveled out of there town of 600 people. Life is to short to set around worried about what others think go with what you know.

Friend, do not listen to what some would love to tell you about what G-d thinks, I am sure that these are the very people G-d would not share her/his persoanl thoughts with. It is the nature, we are told, of G-d to love and our expression of love in her most intimate form is sexual expression and all human beings (in the image and likeness of HaShem) are sexual beings. It may be worth your while reading some theological works by educated religionists. I can only think of one, a Christian by the name of James Alison, who writes the most profound theological reflections on human sexuality coming from his own gay background. Not all religion is against you here. My advice would be to drink from your own wells.

Catechism of the Catholic Church: 2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms throughout the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on sacred Scripture, which present homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity [Gen. 19:1-29, Rom. 1:24-27, 1 Cor. 6:10, 1Tim. 1:10], tradition has always declared that homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered [Persona Humana 8]. They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.
2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. They do not choose their homosexual condition; for most of them it is a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.
2359 Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.
To answer your last last point, God desires that no one should perish, but He gives all free will to choose. People choose to go to Hell.

Does it matter everyone who believes in god sins so what make homosexuality any different? If that is the case every one who is Christian is going to Hell. Alot of gay people are cool, there is no difference b/t a homosexual and a heterosexual or a bisexual other than sexual preference. Not all believe in God anyway.
