How can I cut the spiciness of my soup. I made lentil soup and there is WAY too much pepper.

Make another pot with no pepper and combine them.

You can just add more soup to it. If you cant do that then add more broth or whatever the main Liquid is.

Pour some of the liquid out and replace it with chicken broth. Also some cream will help.

The only thing that you can do is to add a little more broth otherwise the damage is done.

you can put a nicely peeled potato cut in half in your soup... it will absorb the excess flavours caused by spices,salts, etc.

add water, the taste will fade, but so will the pepper.
